| The Last Templar Author: Raymond Khoury; Buy New: $16.47 |
I have to say, this book started out really, really good.
The war between the Catholic Church and the Gnostic insurgency drags on in this ponderous Da Vinci Code knockoff. The latest skirmish erupts when horsemen dressed as knights raid New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, lopping off heads and firing Uzis as they go.
The Knights Templar, a small monastic military order formed in the early 1100s to protect travelers to the Holy Land, eventually grew and became wealthy beyond imagination. In 1307, the French king, feeling jealous and greedy, killed off the Templars, and by 1311, the last master, Jacques de Molay, was burned at the stake.

According to a 2005 annual report by DisplaySearch released on January 31, Samsung Electronics recorded $11.19 billion in LCD sales last year to preserve its position at the top of the industry. LG Philips LCD also had a banner year, beating Samsung Electronics for the lead in LCD screens measuring 10 inches or larger by raking in $9.578 billion in sales.
Samsung Electronics has maintained the lead in overall LCD sales over the last four years, since taking the title in 2002 with a total sales revenue of $3.309 billion. However, the latest statistics show that the competition between Samsung Electronics and LG Philips LCD for dominance in the international market is becoming increasingly fierce.
